Payment method securely locked once payment is pending
We understand that sometimes you may need to update your direct deposit disbursement method after your tax return has been filed. However, once we have been notified by the IRS and/or state of your incoming tax refund, we initiate the tax refund payment process, and the disbursement method cannot be changed.
Why can't I change my direct deposit method?
Once we have been notified by the IRS and/or state that your refund is scheduled to be paid to you, we initiate the payment process. At this point, for your security our system locks in the disbursement method, and we are unable to make changes.
